The Heal-A-Heart Program is the centerpiece of the Rachel Cooper Foundation’s commitment to save the lives of children born with congenital heart defects.

The “Day of a Thousand Smiles” is the highlight of the year for the Rachel Cooper Foundation.

Fellowship and Research

in order to expand the impact of our mission of saving children, we have in recent years, funded the Rachel Cooper Foundation Fellowship at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM)

The Rachel Cooper Foundation is enlisting schools and youth organizations across our country to assist us in the fight against congenital heart defects in children around the world. It is easy and fun to plan and participate in a “Heal-A-Heart Walk-a-Thon” as well as a good way for children to stay fit.

Your school or organization can sponsor a child and raise funds to help offset the cost of that specific operation or to provide general support to our organization as a whole. If you sponsor a child, we will provide you with photos and information about the youngster and if you are located in the NY Metropolitan area even arrange for a committee of your student leaders to meet the child.

PHOTO GALLERY

We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to the students, parents and educators in our Walk-a-Thon schools. Each school’s efforts, passionate participation, and support of the Rachel Cooper Foundation resulted in a child receiving life saving open heart surgery. We recognize their accomplishment by inducting them into the Heal-A-Heart Hall of Fame.
